»How big is this forest?« In »Barkskins« by Annie Proulx, a newly arrived settler marvels at the hugeous trees of New France. A few generations later, the trees are gone, and with them, entire cultures and worlds have been violently eradicated. This episode heads to the woods to trace the »clearings« of Racial Capitalism.
