Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Trinity Njume-Ebong, also known as Mother Dubber, has been digging records since 2001. Her aim is to unite the modern sonic expressions of the black diaspora; from the West African disco records inherited from her father to the contemporary electronic music productions that dominated her childhood. A strong universal political and cultural alliance of raw black creativity and art can be heard through her musical curation, focusing on a particular era or region with each set. She has a background in art history, is an art curator for the HEAD Blue Day in Geneva, and a collaborator of Les Complices in Zurich.
The discussion will be conducted by PiWhy who instigated the show.
