Jamira Estrada is a Swiss-Mexican musician and DJ based in Zurich. Over the past years, she’s crafted
a style that is raw, dynamic and introspective, recently breaking new ground with her debut album
HUM on Czarnagora. Whether behind the decks or playing live, her approach to sound is intimate and
direct, resulting in a narrative hinging between composition and improvisation. Her DJ sets weave
through broken beats, latin leftfield, noise, bass, techno and drum&bass; blending tight and driving
rhythms with unexpected sonic twists, mirroring her passion for playful confrontation.
Beyond her solo work she is part of Mikro in Zurich and Cuadro22 in Chur, where she strives to foster for a
more inclusive and disruptive nightlife culture.
