A journey through musical archives from Anatolia and Mesopotamia — collective and personal, shaped by encounters and listening. The guide is the metamorphosis of sound: from essential elements such as instruments, voices, rhythms, and rituals, to its transformation influenced by historical and cultural changes. In particular, during migration to Europe in the 1970s, the music of these places was reinterpreted in new contexts and sensibilities, giving rise to hybrid sounds suspended between belonging, memory, and reinterpretation. But when sound is abstracted and decontextualized, what remains of the genre? Is it a loss of identity, or the beginning of another possibility?.
